Product application:

Crowbar resistors are mainly used in low voltage ride through technology for wind power inverters. It is used on the rotor side of wind turbines and is used to bypass the rotor side converter. When low voltage disturbances occur in the power grid, prevent excessive DC bus voltage and rotor current. Mainly working in a faulty state. The Crowbar resistor can instantly dissipate 80% of the enormous energy. Generally, CROWBAR is designed with a small resistor to protect the frequency converter components from amplifying current during grid faults, and the low voltage ride through function of the wind turbine is also implemented in CROWBAR.

Application environment:

The usage environment of RGCB wind energy resistors shall comply with the provisions of DL/T593-2006 3.1

Indoor: Surrounding air temperature: 40 ℃~-30 ℃;

Altitude: ≤ 25k;

Minimum nominal creepage distance: not less than 18mm/kV for porcelain and not less than 20mm/KV for organic materials.

Power frequency withstand voltage: The output terminal of the resistor and the housing (or mounting bracket) can withstand AC withstand voltage values of 50Hz and 3000V without breakdown or flicker, and the leakage current is not more than 10ma.

Note: When exceeding normal usage conditions, it shall be determined through negotiation between the user and the manufacturer.

Braking rate curve:
